Why study at ADÜ?

Aydın Adnan Menderes University is a young, dynamic and fast-growing university. Since its foundation in 1992, the university has grown to give quality education with its 20 faculties, 3 graduate schools, 1 school, 19 vocational schools, 1 state conservatory and 35 research centres to over 52,000 students every year.  We have a wide-range of courses to suit everybody at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels with new courses being opened all the time.


ADÜ provides practical and student-orientated education helping our graduates to become self-confident individuals capable of problem-solving and analytical thinking.


The city of Aydın is an area abundant in history. The area has been inhabited since 7,000 B.C. and in turn by the Ionians, Lydians, Byzantines, Seljukians, Romans and the Ottomans and all of these civillisations have left their mark on the area.  There are many historical touristic sites in and around Aydın including Nysa, Priene, Miletos, Didyma, Aphrodisias and Heraklia. Also the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World), Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary and Pamukkale, (a UNESCO World Heritage site) are all located close to Aydın.


The province of Aydın also contains the famous holiday resorts of Kuşadası and Didim while being within an easy distance of Bodrum, Marmaris and Dalaman. It is within an easy distance of İzmir and its international airport as well as being located close to Bodrum and Dalaman International airports.
